How to Change Pitch on Spotify, SoundCloud & Bandcamp

The Spotify Web Player, SoundCloud and Bandcamp are great for listening, but none of them let you change the pitch or key of a track. Capo adds that control to all three. Because it works on any HTML5 audio playing in your tab, the same dial covers every browser-based player.

Spotify Web Player

Open your track at open.spotify.com, press play, then open Capo and turn the pitch dial. You can lift or drop the key by up to twelve semitones while the tempo stays put — useful for transposing a song into a singable key or matching your instrument. (Capo works in the browser, so use the Web Player rather than the desktop app.)

SoundCloud

SoundCloud is a favourite for demos, remixes and DJ sets — and Capo's pitch and speed controls work on all of it. Shift a track's key to sing over it, or slow it down to transcribe a part, with the pitch held exactly where it was.

Bandcamp

Bandcamp's full-length streams are perfect for learning a song from the artist's own master. Start the track, open Capo, and transpose or slow it to suit — ideal for playing along with an album you've bought.
